Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently seeking Qualified Science Teachers (with QTS) for secondary schools across West London. You will take full responsibility for teaching science and promoting the subject to students, ensuring they engage in a comprehensive and active learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic Science teacher with a passion for motivating students and fostering their knowledge of subject.
Key Responsibilities for Science Teacher:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging science lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages active participation
- Manage and maintain student behaviour effectively, ensuring a productive and respectful atmosphere
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular initiatives
- Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Hold QTS or equivalent
- Have experience teaching science in a secondary school setting
- Possess a strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Be a passionate educator with high expectations for student learning and behaviour
- Be a team player who can collaborate effectively with other staff
- Have the ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their potential
- Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children
