Head of Product Governance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior leader to join RLAM as Head of Product Governance, taking ownership of the oversight and governance of our global collective investment product ranges.
This is a highly visible role, responsible for leading product governance across UK and Irish domiciled funds, with scope to expand into additional jurisdictions. You will provide independent challenge and expert judgement across the full product lifecycle, ensuring our products remain fit for purpose, deliver consistently good outcomes for customers, and meet evolving regulatory and Board expectations.
As a key senior interface, you will work closely with fund boards, governance committees, regulators, and internal stakeholders, helping to shape and strengthen our governance framework. Alongside this, you will lead and develop a high-performing Product Governance team, setting clear direction and building capability over time.
As an active member of the RLAM Product Team, you will play an important role in influencing product strategy and ensuring governance remains at the heart of decision-making.

About the role
- Lead global product governance and oversight across RLAM’s collective investment fund range, including UK and Irish domiciled funds, with scope to expand into additional jurisdictions
- Provide independent challenge and expert judgement across the full product lifecycle to ensure products remain fit for purpose and deliver good customer outcomes
- Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and align with Board expectations
- Act as the primary senior interface with fund boards, governance committees, regulators and key internal stakeholders on all product governance matters
- Support the delivery of strong and sustainable customer outcomes across the product range
- Lead and develop the Product Governance team, setting clear standards, priorities and expectations, and building capability over time
- Contribute as an active member of the RLAM Product Team, supporting broader product strategy and governance initiatives
- Deliver against personal objectives aligned to business priorities and governance outcomes
About you
- Experience leading or operating product governance within asset management, with a strong understanding of the full product lifecycle
- Deep working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including CP86 and COLL, and key fund structures such as UCITS, AIFs, ETFs and MMFs
- Strong ability to provide independent challenge, applying sound judgement to complex governance and regulatory matters
- Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including boards, committees and regulators, with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable leadership capability, with experience building, developing and leading high-performing teams
- Educated to degree level, with a professional investment qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA or equivalent) desirable
