Marketing Communications Specialist
About the role:
The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in the UK Marketing team, working closely with cross-functional teams including Paid Media, Events, and PR. The role will focus on managing website content, campaign communications, and supporting brand-building initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Working Location: Uxbridge, London
Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Own and manage the UK website, ensuring content is up to date, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Develop and manage content briefs for campaigns, working with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality assets (copy, imagery, video, digital).
- Coordinate and manage campaign content across multiple channels (website, paid media, social media, email, events).
- Collaborate with the Paid Media team to ensure content and messaging are optimised for campaigns across digital platforms.
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness and engagement.
- Work closely with the Events team to ensure events are effectively promoted, and that event content feeds into broader marketing activity.
- Lead activation of partnerships and sponsorships that BYD partakes in to maximise value and extend partnerships through all comms channels.
- Contribute to brand storytelling by developing engaging content tailored to different audiences (B2C and B2B).
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials.
- Monitor and report on performance of website and campaign content, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Support CRM/email marketing initiatives with content development and deployment.
- Liaise with internal vision centre and partners for content production and creative delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing communications, content management, or campaign coordination; automotive industry experience preferred.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and brand alignment.
- Experience with website CMS platforms and digital content management.
- Familiarity with paid media, social media, and email marketing best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- High motivation, proactive mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
