About the Role

A welcoming primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role will focus on providing targeted support across classes, delivering small group and one-to-one interventions to help pupils reach their learning goals.

The successful Intervention Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to raise attainment in key subjects, while also supporting children to develop confidence, independence, and a positive approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver literacy, numeracy, and curriculum-based interventions to small groups and individuals.

• Support pupils who require additional help to meet their learning targets.

• Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teachers and the SENCO.

• Encourage resilience, motivation, and positive learning habits.

• Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Intervention Teaching Assistant or similar school-based role.

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.

• Ability to deliver structured interventions and adapt to pupils' needs.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Patient, proactive, and committed approach.
