SEN TA | Southwark
A vibrant primary school in Southwark is looking to appoint a committed SEN TA to begin January 2026. The SEN TA will support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, implement bespoke programmes, adapt resources for accessibility and support social and emotional learning. This SEN TA post in Southwark will include induction and a handover before January 2026, with the SEN TA in role from January 2026.

In Southwark, the SEN TA will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to monitor progress, contribute to review meetings and help pupils generalise skills across subjects. The SEN TA will be expected to support transitions between lessons and year groups and to maintain sensitive communication with families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions and record impact to inform planning.
- Provide in-class support, scaffold tasks and model learning strategies for pupils.
- Support social and emotional regulation and contribute to pastoral systems in Southwark.
- Prepare resources and ensure smooth handovers for colleagues.
- Contribute to multi-agency meetings and communicate progress with parents.
Person specification
- Proven experience as a SEN TA with confidence delivering interventions and supporting classroom access.
- Empathetic, organised and skilled at building positive relationships with pupils and families in Southwark.
- Available to start January 2026 and to attend pre-start training and handover prior to January 2026.
