Year 3 Teacher | Brent
A highly regarded primary school in Brent is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Year 3 Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils as they transition from KS1 to KS2. The successful Year 3 Teacher will benefit from a thorough handover prior to January 2026 and will begin their role in January 2026, with ongoing professional support in place throughout January 2026.
• Year 3 Teacher required for a full-time lower KS2 position
• Year 3 Teacher required to work within a supportive primary school in Brent
• Year 3 Teacher to join a successful and well-resourced KS2 department
The Year 3 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering well-structured lessons across English, mathematics and the wider curriculum. In Brent, the Year 3 Teacher will lead guided reading, develop extended writing skills and embed strong mathematical foundations. This Year 3 Teacher role also includes responsibility for assessing progress, running targeted support groups and contributing to collaborative planning within the Brent team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured Year 3 lessons that build knowledge and confidence
- Deliver guided reading and comprehension sessions
- Use assessment to inform future planning and intervention
- Maintain an engaging, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and colleagues in Brent
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching in KS2, ideally as a Year 3 Teacher
- Strong curriculum and subject knowledge
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Available to start January 2026
