Employment Lawyer (Fixed-Term Contract)

A leading global media organisation seeks an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its Legal team in London for a 10 month FTC. This role will lead and oversee employment legal matters, including pensions, incentives, immigration and compliance. It will entail engagement with senior leadership, including C-suite executives and with global HR and legal teams to ensure best legal and regulatory compliance. The position is situated in London and 4 days in the office is required.

The successful candidate will :

• Provide expert legal counsel on international employment matters across global markets.
• Partner with HR leaders to support employee relations, consultations, and policy initiatives.
• Lead employment contract reviews, disciplinary procedures, restructurings, and litigation management.
• Oversee legal aspects of diversity and inclusion, pensions, immigration, and whistleblowing programs.
• Manage relationships with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advise on compliance issues, workforce representation matters, and employee investigations.
• Support cross-border projects, regulatory audits, and internal training programs.
• Contribute strategically to global risk reporting and legal governance structures.

Requirements: –

• Qualified Employment solicitor with upwards of 5 years’ PQE in international employment law, preferably with both private practice and in-house experience
• Strong background in advising multinational businesses.
• Skilled in employment litigation, managing legal risk, internal investigations
• Experience handling international consultations, labour relations, and compliance matters.
• Knowledge of pensions and global mobility issues, including immigration law, is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
