Job Description:
Barts Health NHS FT is seeking a Band 6 Locum Dietitian to join our team at the Royal London Hospital in London. The role is available for an immediate start on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. This position involves providing acute dietetic care across a variety of specialties, with a primary focus on general medical wards and neuro-trauma for the first two weeks. You will manage a mixed caseload and provide expert dietary assessments and interventions to support patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
What your responsibilities will be for this Dietetics role?
As a Band 6 Locum Dietitian, you will deliver comprehensive dietetic assessments and interventions for patients across various specialties, with an emphasis on general medical wards and neuro-trauma initially. You will be responsible for creating and implementing tailored nutrition plans to address diverse clinical needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care. Effective communication with patients and healthcare staff is essential to support patients’ nutritional needs and recovery. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the overall development of dietetic services within the hospital.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Dietitian
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification
- Proven acute dietetic experience, preferably covering a range of specialties
- Ability to manage a mixed caseload effectively
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to various clinical settings and patient needs
