Junior Field Technician

Origin Coffee
London

About the Role

As our Junior Field Technician based in London, you will report to the two Senior Field Technicians in the area and play a key role in supporting the maintenance and repair of coffee machines for our customers. The role is mainly field-based, though you will also help with occasional workshop tasks and contribute to equipment care, installations, and troubleshooting. You will receive full onboarding, followed by hands-on training and regular upskilling to help you develop and progress in the role.

You’ll be guided by our Workshop and Senior Field Technician's in London and supported by our wider Technical team – with a company van provided for work use.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in Installing, refurbish, service, and repair espresso machines and hot water systems.
  • Assist in Installing and manage water filtration systems at customer sites.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance at customer locations.
  • Manage stock movements using our service app and keep your van well-stocked and tidy.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Coordinator and Technical Service Coordinator for scheduling and parts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, setting expectations and representing Origin professionally.
  • Support goods-in/goods-out processes when working from base.
  • Use hand tools daily – lifting and manual work required.
  • Follow SOPs and health & safety protocols at all times.

What You’ll Bring

Skills & Behaviours

  • Open to growing skills and knowledge with guidance from experienced team members.
  • A hands-on problem solver with a curious, practical mindset.
  • High attention to detail with a methodical, organised approach.
  • Efficient in digital tools and comfortable with workflow systems.
  • Flexible and reliable – ready for early starts or the occasional overrun.
  • Friendly and clear communicator, building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong timekeeping and a proactive attitude.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required

Values & Mindset

  • You take pride in doing things well, every time.
  • You’re motivated by collaboration and care about your impact.
  • You embrace new learning opportunities and want to grow in a technical career.
  • You represent Origin’s values through every interaction.

Desirable Extras

  • Barista experience or confidence using espresso machines.
  • Understanding of goods-in/goods-out workflows.
