The Role: Recruitment Team Executive

Our People Directorate plays a vital role in making sure British Airways attracts , supports and welcomes the very best talent into our business. As a Recruitment Team Executive , you’ll be part of a close‑knit team that ensures every candidate and colleague experiences a professional, compliant and genuinely positive recruitment journey.

Working across a wide range of recruitment activities, you’ll help keep our processes running smoothly and to the highest standards, supporting both candidates and colleagues at key moments in their journey with us. This is a role where attention to detail, collaboration and pride in doing things right first time really make a difference!

What You’ll Do

  • Process candidate referencing and additional checks accurately, on time and in line with agreed processes and controls, including ID and Airport Gateway checks
  • Support recruitment activity such as contracting, course closure and wider administrative tasks across the function
  • Work closely with third‑party suppliers to ensure referencing activity meets agreed policy, process and service standards
  • Assist with the coordination of security interviews and checks, including Criminal Records Checks, Overseas Criminal Record Checks and Enhanced Checks where required
  • Keep up to date with changes to airport standards, government legislation and internal processes
  • Participate in recruitment continuous improvement initiatives, sharing expertise and ideas to improve how we work
  • Act as a British Airways and Airport Authority signatory for verification of references where required
  • Ensure information is stored and processed in line with company and legal requirements, including GDPR and ICFR controls
  • Support the delivery of regulatory‑compliant onboarding within agreed timescales, balancing business needs with a positive candidate experience
  • Provide ad‑hoc support or cover for wider team tasks when required

Your Experience

  • Experience working to standard operating procedures
  • Experience working with third‑party suppliers to deliver high levels of performance
  • Experience supporting recruitment processes (desirable)
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail (essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
