The Role – Graduate Unqualified Teacher
As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher , you will be placed within a department that aligns with your degree or academic background. This role allows you to:
- Support classroom learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 .
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students who need extra help or challenge.
- Assist with lesson planning, classroom management, and resource development .
- Gradually lead parts of lessons as your confidence and skills grow.
- Work closely with experienced teachers who will mentor and guide you throughout the year.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of life in a busy, forward-thinking secondary school.
This is a full-time position running from September 2025 , offering an immersive experience in education before moving into a formal teacher training programme.
Who We’re Looking For – Graduate Unqualified Teacher
The school is seeking graduates who are:
- Educated to degree level (2:1 or above)in a relevant subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Languages, Arts, etc.).
- Passionate about teaching and keen to explore it as a long-term career path.
- Excellent communicators, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced school environment.
- Reliable and committed to working full-time throughout the 2025/26 academic year.
- Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching) is desirable but not essential.
