Chadburn Clinical Lecturer
- you are asked to identify a potential academic supervisor at King's College London who is happy to be your sponsor to develop a plan for the period of the lectureship along with the split of academic and clinical work. If your academic supervisor is not a Head of Department, the support of your application and plans needs to be sought
- you are encouraged to discuss with your Training Programme Director, proposed supervisor and NHS England Health Education Team (NHSE HET) the opportunity to continue your clinical training and what additional funding might be available from the NHS. The Chadburn Lectureship from King's College London provides £50,000 per year total funding (inclusive of salary and associated employer's costs). The amount of time spent in clinical duties may vary according to your personal needs at any given time and will be included in the contract with King's College London.

- you must be licensed to practice and have a strong commitment to clinical care
- you have some experience in educating/supervising others
- you have published in peer-reviewed journals and applied for research funding

- A letter of support from the academic supervisor at King's College London
- A letter from their Training Programme Director confirming the commitment to their specialty training, including details of FTE/PAs and funding commitment for the period of the lectureship

- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), membership of a Royal College or equivalent, full GMC body registration with valid licence to practice, at least ST3 level or higher, ideally with a national training number, and PhD/MD(Res) in relevant subject area (awarded or due to be completed by the start of the lectureship)
- Personal circumstances (such as caring responsibilities) that mean it is only possible to work part time during clinical specialty training (up to 0.8 FTE academic + clinical, regardless of funding source)
- Evidence of a strong commitment to and track record in research relevant to the proposed project, including conference presentations, peer reviewed papers and clear and ambitious plans for scholastic contributions that fit with the Faculty's priorities
