Data Engineer
About The Role:
- As a Data Engineer at Enfuce, you are the backbone of our Data team. You own and
manage the data platform that ingests, stores, and distributes fresh, reliable data across the organization. By building automation, championing best practices, and embracing modern methodologies you will ensure that our data platform operates with the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance. - Your work lays the foundation for transformations and advanced analytics, enabling the wider Data team and other data consumers to deliver high-impact data solutions. As such, you have a significant impact on the Data team’s and organization’s success in driving value from data.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure using appropriate tooling and technologies to guarantee security, reliability, and performance.
- Develop and manage data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources, applying relevant processing strategies (e.g. batch, streaming, event-based), into our data lake and data warehouse.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD best practices to automate deployments, streamline development processes, and ensure high-quality and efficient collaboration.
- Safeguard data reliability through automated monitoring and alerting, and by proactively identifying and resolving any availability or quality issues.
- Collaborate with fellow Data disciplines and other teams (e.g. software engineering teams, business stakeholders) to align on requirements, offer support, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Own stakeholder communication by gathering and clarifying project requirements, providing regular updates and timelines, and manage expectations with business and technical stakeholders.
- Active participation in team ceremonies to ensure coordinated efforts, alignment, and continuous excellence of the Data Engineering discipline.
What You'll Bring :
- Strong technical expertise with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP), data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery), and orchestration tools (Airflow).
- Strong proficiency in Python (or similar languages) and SQL. Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), plus a solid understanding of modern CI/CD workflows for seamless development and deployment workflows.
- Champions monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices to ensure high data platform trust and uptime. • Strong familiarity with modern data engineering practices (e.g., ELT vs. ETL, medallion architecture, Reverse ETL) and a willingness to continuously scout, evaluate, and adopt emerging tools or methodologies that enhance data reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams, gather requirements, manage projects, and articulate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive and curious mindset, comfortable with independently driving projects from inception to deployment, while delivering tangible results on time.
- Ability to adapt, learn, and contribute to the continuous evolution of our data strategy at Enfuce.
