Returning, long-term family of Kinder Nannies is looking for their next wonderful nanny as their current Kinder Nanny is leaving after 3 happy years with the family.:

Overview

We’re a family of four living in Chelsea, London. We speak German, French, and English in our household. We are looking for an almost-full-time permanent nanny (live-out) to care for our two sons, one three-years-old and one six-years-old. This is a sole charge role. Hours are Monday to Friday, 11AM/12 noon to 7PM. Salary is market based and the role can be either full time or part time. (Indication : £22-£24 gross per hour for full time, or if part time £25 gph)

Our children

Our eldest son currently attends school in Battersea, and takes the school bus in the morning, but requires pickup in the afternoon (between 3-5PM depending on after-school clubs). Our second son attends a local nursery in the morning and requires pickup at 12:15PM after which he will need to have lunch at home followed by a nap. The boys are active and energetic. They love going to the playground, riding on their scooters, and playing Lego and trucks at home. Our eldest will require homework support after school.

What we’re looking for:

- Kind, caring, nurturing, and patient

- Organised, proactive, and curious

- A natural problem-solver, not scared to take the initiative and find creative solutions

- Comfortable with new situations and keeps calm in times of stress

- Diploma in childhood education or equivalent

- Experience in sole charge of two children of similar ages

- Able to cook healthy and varied meals for children

- Able to travel abroad very occasionally (extra pay)

- Able to proxy-parent very occasionally when both parents are simultaneously abroad (extra pay and seldom since grandparents live locally)

- Able to stay for occasional babysitting (extra pay)

Roles and responsibilities:

- Nursery pickup and school pickup

- Research and plan age-appropriate activities for both children

- Support with primary school homework requirements

- Prepare healthy meals for both children (lunch and dinner)

- Organisation and cleaning of children’s belongings

- Care of the children’s clothing

- Run errands related to children’s duties

Additional information:

Salary: £22-£24 gross per hour - depends on your qualifications and experience.

Hours: On average 45 hrs pw. 7-8 hours/day, 35-40 hours/week, more during school holidays

Qualifications required:

- Diploma in Education of equivalent

- Enhanced DBS checked

- Current paediatric first aid.

Required language: German (strongly preferred) or French (preferred), in addition to English

Experience required: Sole charge experience of two children of similar ages

Driving licence required: Preferred

Employment type: Almost-full-time (mornings largely free)

Requirements

Fluent german speaking, speaking only German to the children. (or French!)

Longevity in previous nanny jobs.

Up to date Enhanced DBS (you can apply through Kinder Nannies & Staff)

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate

Right to work in UK (& already living in the UK)

Good references for recent and relevant nanny work

Able to run after small children
