Sales Manager- UK
Our client is a leading international manufacturer of composite pipe systems used across water, oil & gas, industrial and marine sectors.
JOB PURPOSETo support business growth by executing field sales activities across the assigned area, with a focus on South England. This role is responsible for engaging with customers, initiating contacts, gathering market intelligence, and analysing market trends. The position contributes to the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, sales forecasting, and program execution. A key responsibility is to build and maintain strong relationships with (key) accounts and drive strategic sales initiatives to increase revenue and profitability. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Sales
- Call and/or visit existing customers and target accounts to identify needs, establish buying cycles and to facilitate a strong customer-supplier relationship.
- Ensure the timely review, strategy developments, accurate evaluations and effective bids on all inquiries
- Develop and maintains direct line responsibilities with key accounts, ensuring a climate of positive business relationships with customers to meet or exceed sales targets for the assigned area
- Continually evaluate the market within assigned areas, remain totally aware of the competitive environment and profitable status of each account
- Identify opportunities to grow the regional customer base and prepare action plans to convert sales prospects into new accounts
- Conduct technical/commercial presentations and discussions to promote the product
- Visit ongoing installation projects to understand product applications and to help in developing strong customer relationships
- Participate in local marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
- Identify and resolve client concerns should any arise
- Prepare a variety of status reports such as sales forecasts, and progress to goals
- Travel extensively within the region and as necessary to support scheduled sales meetings.
- Able to understand customer needs and aware industry trends and market developments that drive buyer behaviours
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with all internal functional areas of Company to facilitate and achieve all sales objectives
- Must be a native English speaker
- Must possess a solid technical background; sound judgment and good business acumen; team working ability, the ability to build relationships with clients, analytical and problem-solving skills, resilience and tenacity, independence
- Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic with a good technical knowledge; comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
- Must have strong presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to customer interests and clearly highlight product strengths in emails, RFPs, and reports
- Must be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches and be prepared for extensive travel.
- Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
- Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks
- Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment and machinery in good working order
- Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations

External: Other manufacturing units, Key market players JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY)
Coordinate with the back-office to ensure that client orders are accurately entered into ERP/CRM systems and invoicing aligns with agreed client terms; escalate discrepancies to the relevant teams to support timely and accurate fulfilment. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree/Technical Knowledge, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a plus
- 3-5 years of related experience or commensurate combination of education and experience, preferably in pipe systems , project-based solutions or EPC related environments.
- Ideal c andidate should have a strong experience in selling composite pipe systems to the Oil & Gas, Industrial, Water and Marine & Offshore sectors
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
- Computer skills required and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and other software programs
- General understanding of CRM and ERP systems, processes, and procedures
