Senior Manager - Global Inventory

JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join the Global Inventory team. In this position you will be accountable primarily for managing inventory at a global level, you will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for Burberry, fostering a culture of simplification, innovation and collaboration and driving excellence across the planning organisation.
You will be accountable for:
- Leading strategic and controlled inventory management, overseeing all Open to Buy processes across both Central and Regional for a consolidated Group Inventory
- Managing the alignment of fiscal, seasonal sales, inventory targets and sell through
- Lead and manage the consolidation of Product Delist strategies in line with Open to Buy targets
- Collaborating with Retail Merchandising, Collection Merchandising, Finance, Commercial Strategy and all Regional teams to ensure alignment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Inventory Management
- Accountable for all central inventory management activities, including assessment of Global Open to Buys on a monthly basis.
- Accountable for alignment with Finance on Fiscal budgets and Forecasts, incorporating Product strategies for Sales, Margin and Inventory
- Responsible for the monthly OTB reviews with Central and Regional teams
- Centrally define Global Open to Buy Parameters and targets
- Assess and challenge regional Open to Buy submissions ensuring optimal and efficient inventory and productivity assumptions.
- Monitor adherence to Regional inventory targets including any liquidation strategies.
- Sign off significant inventory rebalances across Regions in order to drive sell through globally.
- Define central markdown and delist product guidance
- Provide FY and Seasonal Margin guidance to Merchandising and Finance teams to inform ranges plans and seasonal intake margins
- Prepare and align on all Open to Buy related presentations and strategies, effectively communicating complex data and strategic recommendations to inform decision making
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Extensive experience demonstrating excellence across all aspects of Global inventory planning, at a manager level
- Effective communication skills, with proven experience in influencing with credibility up to C-suite
- Strong leadership skills: inspiring, energising and instilling a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
- Creative, innovative and customer-oriented when faced with business challenges
- Strong decision-making capability
- Dynamic and collaborative style, able to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and translate strategic direction to all levels of the organisation
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
