Tax Lawyer – Leading International Law Firm

This stellar Real Estate Finance team at a global law firm is hiring a Tax Associate who must have upwards of 2 years’ PQE and excellent exposure to complex and high-value transactions.

The team is recognised for its depth of expertise, technical excellence and commercial approach. The remit of the opportunity will be to advise on a broad range of transactional tax matters, across caried practice areas and jurisdictions. The successful candidate will enjoy deep involvement in exciting real estate, corporate and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Structuring and executing corporate and real estate transactions
• Mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and insolvencies
• Funds taxation (including hedge, debt and real estate funds)
• Cross-border structuring for multinational clients
• Structured finance and capital markets transactions
• VAT and indirect tax considerations

Requirements:

• Corporate tax experience gained at a City, international, or leading regional firm

• Experience in real estate tax and/or taxation of corporate transactions
• Preferably, knowledge of funds taxation
• Strong commercial awareness, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving mindset
• Confidence in dealing directly with clients and in challenging received thinking
