About Growth Kitchen (GK)

Growth Kitchen is the leading franchising platform for restaurant delivery in the UK, generating $30m in annual GMV and growing 3x year on year.

We are on a mission to transform how the world eats, by bringing amazing restaurant experiences to the homes of millions of underserved customers across the UK. We do this by enabling underused hospitality businesses to sell well-known restaurant brands such as The Athenian and Coqfighter on delivery apps, from their existing kitchens.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for the next generation of entrepreneurs who are looking to learn from founders and work hard to figure out a complex (although cool) problem: When, how, and why should we expand internationally? This is one of our most exciting projects so far.

The ideal candidate is ambitious and wants to launch their own company in the near future. You’ll work closely with founders to explore international restaurant delivery ecosystem, helping shape the foundations of our international expansion strategy.

This is not a passive internship with desktop research only. A significant chunk of your time will be spent talking with local players, figuring things out. Expect autonomy, ownership, and exposure to high-level strategic decisions from day one.

What You’ll Work On

• Researching and analysing international food delivery and restaurant markets.
• Mapping key players across the value chain: aggregators, brands, suppliers, hosts.
• Interviewing local stakeholders—entrepreneurs, operators, investors, suppliers.
• Understanding how our UK model translates (or doesn't) to an international context, and how that differs per region.
• Helping us decide if, where, and how we should launch internationally.
• Supporting early work on brand and host outreach materials.
• Assisting with an internal strategy report and initial action plan.
  
  

Think of this as the scouting mission for a potential $5M+ pilot launch—and you’ll be helping shape that call.

Requirements

We don’t have a fixed mold, but strong candidates likely have:

Experience

• Background in business, strategy, consulting, economics, or operations
• Exposure to startups, food & beverage, or delivery/logistics industries is a plus
• Experience with research-heavy or interview-based work such as Management Consulting is a plus
• Drive and motivation to succeed and eagerness to learn from scale-up founders

Skills

• Strong analytical mindset with a bias to action
• Clear, structured communication
• Able to summarise complex messages clearly and succinctly
• Comfortable with ambiguity, and with a high level of ownership from day one
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Relevant experience building executive decks, memos, and business plans
• Doer: pick up the phone, reach out to people, take action
