Senior Change Leader - Private Banking

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Change Leader within our Private Banking business to drive complex, high-impact transformation across business and technology. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of programmes and projects, ensuring outcomes land safely, on time and on budget—while realising measurable benefits for clients, colleagues and the bank. The initial scope of the role will cover the UK & Channel Islands but as the role is part of a global team, there is likely be wider coverage in the future.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead delivery of change initiatives, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, quality and risk to achieve agreed outcomes and benefits.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to break down complex requirements into Epics and User Stories, enabling efficient delivery through technology backlogs with minimal cross-product dependency.
  • Establish and run robust programme governance, controls and reporting (RAID, milestones, financials), escalating and recommending actions to maintain momentum.
  • Drive adoption of Agile delivery practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) aligned to HSBC transformation frameworks and standards.
  • Define and manage resourcing plans, roles, responsibilities and delivery schedules; lead teams to meet programme objectives.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including third-party suppliers, service agreements and delivery performance.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven senior programme/project delivery experience in a client focused Financial Services environment – essential
  • Private Banking or Wealth Management background - desirable
  • CRM System knowledge, specifically Microsoft Dynamics - essential
  • Strong grasp of delivery disciplines: planning, governance, project controls, dependency management, risk mitigation, quality assurance and benefits management - essential
  • A good understanding of Agile delivery principles and an ability to apply these principles is essential. Any prior experience of doing this in practical terms is desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence presenting to steering committees and senior leadership – essential
  • The ability to lead teams and working groups is essential. Any prior line management would be desirable.
