Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering fun and engaging lessons
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost confidence and progress
- Help create a warm, safe, and inspiring classroom environment
- Encourage children with gentle guidance, storytelling, and creative activities
- Celebrate the little achievements—from first sentences to maths breakthroughs—that make a big difference
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant: Who We’re Looking For
To succeed as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you should have:
- A graduate with a 2:1 or higher in Education, Psychology, English, or a related subject from a top-30 University
- Strong academic background throughout GCSE’s and A-Levels
- Passionate about working with young children and supporting their learning journey
- Patient, caring, and able to bring positivity and creativity into the classroom
- Considering a future career in teaching or education
