Project Manager - Retail Fit Out

Salary: GBP80,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity Our client is an established and growing fit–out contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering premium retail environments across the UK. Working with well–known retail and luxury brands, they specialise in creating exceptional customer spaces, from flagship stores to nationwide roll–out programmes.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in retail fit–out and shopfitting to join their team.

The Role Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for managing retail fit–out projects from pre–construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.

You'll work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, taking full ownership of project delivery while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple retail fit–out projects across the UK.
  • Plan, programme and oversee projects from award through to handover.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with current legislation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Maintain programme, quality and compliance throughout delivery.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and challenges.
  • Deliver snag–free, high–quality finished projects.
About You

The successful candidate will have experience delivering premium retail environments and will be confident managing projects in fast–paced live retail settings.
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within retail fit–out or shopfitting.
  • Experience delivering high–end retail, flagship stores or luxury commercial interiors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and fit–out programmes.
  • Excellent client–facing communication skills.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to demanding deadlines.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
  • Experience delivering luxury retail or premium commercial interiors.
  • Experience with national retail roll–out programmes.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
