Job Title: Registered Manager for Children's Home

Are you an experienced leader passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee our new solo children's home in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting children aged 9-17 with complex emotional and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and nurturing care for children and young people.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and lead staff practice.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Maintain robust safeguarding systems and effective multi-agency working.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, organizing work patterns and delivering care-focused training.
  • Drive continuous improvement in line with organizational standards and ethos.

Requirements

  • Leadership and Management qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
  • Strong knowledge of childcare and safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience in managing staff teams with excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for children's welfare and commitment to achieving positive outcomes.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, including participation in the on-call rota. You will manage your own schedule to ensure the home operates smoothly.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base salary of £52,000, with potential earnings up to £58,600 through bonuses.
  • 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year for the first three years.
  • Workplace pension (post-probation).
  • Mobile phone provided.
  • Ofsted performance bonus: £3,000 for an Outstanding judgment and £1,500 for a Good judgment.
  • Full occupancy bonus of £300 per month.
  • Company car or £3,000 annual travel allowance.
  • Local parking permit.
  • 3-month notice period (except in disciplinary cases).
