Sales Executive

Easyfairs UK
Twickenham, Greater London

Full-time, hybrid (3 days per week office-based, 2 days WFH)
Twickenham, SW London

As a Sales Executive working on Advanced Engineering , you’ll be responsible for winning new business and developing existing customer relationships for one of our established B2B event brands.

You’ll proactively identify and convert new sales opportunities, build relationships with prospective and existing exhibitors, and sell exhibition space, sponsorship, digital products and other commercial packages.

This role would suit someone who is naturally confident, competitive and commercially minded, enjoys speaking with people, and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and create opportunities. We’re looking for someone with a hunter mentality who is motivated by targets and eager to develop a successful career in B2B sales and the events industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Hunt for new business through targeted research, prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn and networking.

· Build strong relationships with prospective and existing exhibitors, understanding their objectives and presenting relevant commercial opportunities.

· Manage the sales process from first contact through to proposal, negotiation, contract and handover.

· Sell exhibition stands, upgrades, sponsorship, digital products and other relevant commercial packages.

· Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, proactively progressing deals through to close.

· Meet agreed revenue, activity and new-business targets.

· Work closely with the wider sales team to share leads, coordinate account activity and contribute towards team targets.

· Follow up promptly on enquiries and leads while delivering a professional and customer-focused experience.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including calls, emails, meeting notes, opportunities, next steps and forecasts.

· Deliver agreed KPIs across calls, outreach, meetings, proposals and sales administration.

· Develop a strong understanding of the Advanced Engineering market, competitors, exhibitor needs and relevant industry developments.

Essential Criteria

· Minimum one year’s experience in a customer-facing environment such as sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, recruitment or business development.

· Confident and professional communicator who can quickly build rapport with customers by phone, email and in person.

· Comfortable proactively approaching prospective customers, making outbound calls and following up leads.

· Target-driven, with the ability to work with pace, persistence and a positive attitude.

· Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in understanding customer needs and identifying suitable solutions.

· Organised and able to manage multiple conversations, opportunities, tasks and follow-ups accurately.

· Able to work collaboratively within a sales team while taking ownership of individual activity and targets.

· Resilient and adaptable, with the confidence to handle objections and rejection professionally.

Desirable Criteria

· Previous experience in the exhibitions, events or trade-show industry.

· Experience in a target-led sales or customer-facing environment such as retail, hospitality, recruitment, telesales, estate agency or automotive sales.

· Previous experience with proactive prospecting, new-business development or outbound sales.

· Experience using a CRM system and managing a structured sales pipeline.

Events-industry experience is advantageous but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate resilience, confidence, proactive prospecting and the ability to build strong customer relationships.

A motivated candidate with proven commercial potential, strong activity levels and a genuine desire to develop may be preferred over someone with events experience but limited new-business drive.

Why Join Easyfairs?

· Competitive salary and uncapped commission structure.

· Clear career progression opportunities within sales, account management and the wider events business.

· Structured on-the-job coaching from experienced sales leaders and the wider commercial team.

· Comprehensive development in consultative B2B sales, new-business development, account management, negotiation and
