Policy wording specialist - Insurance
We are seeking Policy Wording Specialists with expertise in drafting, reviewing, and enhancing policy wordings within the SME market. This role will collaborate closely with the Head Office Underwriting team and wider stakeholders to ensure our products remain market-leading, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the document compliance process, securing approvals and sign-off from relevant stakeholders.
Partner with Underwriting and Product Management teams to ensure policy wordings remain at least market-comparable and fit for purpose.
Draft, amend, and deliver wording updates, working collaboratively to ensure timely implementation.
Lead the annual wording review process, managing required actions through to completion.
Support senior underwriting leadership in maintaining and evolving product wordings in line with strategic, regulatory, and statutory developments.
Maintain a centralised log of all wording changes to support compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven expertise in drafting, updating, and reviewing insurance policy wordings, ideally within the SME sector.
Strong knowledge of regulatory, statutory, and internal control frameworks.
Experience leading annual wording reviews and implementing changes across business functions.
Skilled at maintaining centralised documentation to support governance and audit processes.
Excellent written communication, precision, and attention to detail.
Ability to align policy wordings with wider business strategy and regulatory changes.
