IT Commercial Specialist

We're looking for an IT Commercial Specialist for a central government department, based in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Leeds or Sheffield (hybrid), on an initial 10 Months contract, paying up to £650 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office around 3 days per week.

The successful IT Commercial Specialist will lead high value, technical IT procurements for a central software category team. You'll run sourcing activity from requirement through to award, drive best value for money, and work across multi-disciplinary teams to inform decisions. You'll also manage a growing pipeline of new software purchases and renewals.

You will need proven experience in the following:

Managing high value, technical IT procurements
Full understanding of public sector procurement and procurement regulations
CCS Frameworks, particularly IT and digital frameworks and how to access them
Strong stakeholder engagement, including communicating technical concepts to non-technical people
Working in multi-disciplinary teams and supporting work beyond your core role

MCIPS or Level 4 CIPS qualification is required for this role.

Transforming Public Procurement training, a project management qualification, and a contract management qualification such as CMCP Foundation would be beneficial.

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
