We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Manual QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team.
This role is ideal for professionals with several years of experience in manual testing who are passionate about delivering high-quality mobile applications.
As a key member of the QA team, you will be responsible for designing and executing thorough manual test strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of our products.
You’ll play a critical role in identifying issues before they reach our users, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review business and technical requirements to create effective and comprehensive manual test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual testing across various devices and platforms, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand feature requirements and potential risk areas.
- Validate completed development work against defined acceptance criteria and report issues with clear, reproducible steps.
- Log, track, and manage bugs using a bug-tracking tool (e.g. JIRA), ensuring issues are properly documented and prioritized.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development team.
- Maintain and update test documentation as the product evolves.
- Support release activities by conducting smoke tests, verifying bug fixes, and ensuring feature readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards with a manual testing perspective.
- Stay informed on QA trends, especially in mobile application testing, and apply best practices in your work.
About You
- Solid hands-on experience in manual software testing, preferably with mobile applications
- Strong knowledge of QA principles, software development life cycles, and Agile methodologies
- Proven ability to create and execute detailed manual test cases from specifications and user stories
- Excellent attention to detail, with a methodical and analytical approach to testing
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Organisational skills to manage multiple testing tasks and priorities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using JIRA or similar test management and bug-tracking tools
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman (manual, not automated)
- Understanding of database concepts and comfortable querying data with SQL
- Experience testing across different mobile devices and operating systems (iOS, Android) using tools such as Browserstack
- Experience conducting performance/load testing
- Awareness of accessibility, usability, and responsive design testing
- Experience working in a fintech company will be a bonus
