Position: Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary
Salary: £85-£100 per day + Holiday Pay + Additional Benefits

Location: Havering

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly school in Havering.

You will help the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities, assisting individuals and supporting small group learning, whilst promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

You may be responsible for providing one-on-one support to children/a child with special educational needs, helping them to engage and learn in a nurturing environment with personalised education plans tailored to each child's unique needs, encouraging participation and confidence.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant
Experience of working with children who have special educational needs, especially those who can present challenges is advantageous
A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of students
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, teachers etc.
Relevant qualifications or training
