Are you an ambitious Year 5 Teacher seeking a Full-Time role in an Outstanding Lambeth primary from January 2026? This Outstanding school is inviting applications for a dynamic Year 5 Teacher to lead a Year 5 class on a Full-Time contract. The successful Year 5 Teacher will take part in planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and commence teaching from January 2026.

This Outstanding Lambeth school combines academic rigour with creative curriculum design, giving the Year 5 Teacher scope to develop critical thinking, mathematical reasoning and rich writing units. From January 2026, the Year 5 Teacher will be supported by an experienced phase leader and access to targeted CPD. The Year 5 Teacher will be expected to contribute to school leadership activities, run pupil progress meetings and support transition work for cohorts moving towards upper KS2.
What the Year 5 Teacher will do
• Plan ambitious, sequenced lessons that develop fluency and reasoning as the Year 5 Teacher.
• Lead curriculum enrichment projects, lead small-group interventions and mentor TAs as the Year 5 Teacher.
• Use assessment data to personalise learning and report progress to families as the Year 5 Teacher.
The Year 5 Teacher will attend induction in January 2026, contribute to moderation before January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher.
Candidate profile — Year 5 Teacher
We seek a reflective Year 5 Teacher with QTS, strong KS2 experience and a track record of driving progress. The Year 5 Teacher should be organised, creative and ready to hit the ground running in the spring term after January 2026. This Full-Time Year 5 Teacher post provides leadership development and meaningful professional challenge.
