We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a full-time, long-term position in Hillingdon starting January 2026.

About the role

As a Primary ECT, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, with appropriate support and guidance from experienced colleagues. You will work to create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom where pupils feel supported and motivated to learn. This long-term role offers consistency and the chance to become an established member of the school team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

  • Engaging fully in professional development and ECT support programmes

About the school

The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Hillingdon area, with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and staff development. The leadership team is experienced and supportive, providing mentoring and guidance to help early career teachers build confidence and progress professionally.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Primary ECT you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role from January 2026

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • QTS
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
