The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven Buyer to take full ownership of the Confectionery category for a global retail organisation, one of the business’s largest and most strategically important areas.
You will shape and deliver the end to end category strategy across confectionery, snacks, and impulse ranges, ensuring a bold, profitable and customer focused offer across a fast paced retail network.

What You’ll Do
- Own and deliver the commercial performance of the Confectionery category, driving sales and profitability.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, leading negotiations and optimising commercial terms.
- Define the pricing, range, and promotional strategy to maximise sales and customer engagement.
- Curate and refresh product ranges that reflect consumer trends, brand partnerships and sustainability goals.
- Lead seasonal planning, new product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Deliver a pipeline of category growth initiatives and collaborate across functions to bring ideas to life.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven buying or category management experience within FMCG, retail, or food & drink.
- A strong track record in confectionery, snacks, or impulse categories.
- Excellent commercial acumen and confident negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insight into action.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A growth mindset and the ambition to progress into future senior commercial roles.
