An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join Digital Services as Lead Business Analyst and support the Project Delivery Team.

The purpose of this role is to lead, manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. The Business Analyst team ensures that change initiatives are delivered using the Council’s Digital Services’ Project Delivery Framework, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. The Business Analyst team works closely with Project Managers to deliver successful outputs, outcomes and realisable benefits on time and within budget.

The Lead Business Analyst will:

  • Undertake investigative work to determine business opportunities and specify effective business processes.
  • Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance across all business analysis activities.
  • Oversee the definition and management of the process for deploying and integrating new digital capabilities into the business.
  • Ensure delivery of a high-quality user experience, while mentoring and developing the wider Business Analyst team.

Role Specific Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Full BCS Business Analysis Professional Diploma (Formally known as ISEB Business Analysis Diploma), IIBA Business Analyst certification or equivalent certification.
  • Enhanced experience in successfully delivering complex digital projects within local authorities or public sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Desirable:

  • Certifications in Agile (e.g., Scrum Master), ITIL, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) or other relevant areas.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
