Location London (projects across London) – ideally living in Kent or London

Salary £55,000-£65,000 per annum + company van + paid holidays + power tools supplied Start date: ASAP Hours: Typically 8 hour days; weekend overtime available

Role summary Strong Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a family-run electrical contractor with 25+ years’ experience delivering high-quality commercial and healthcare projects. They are expanding their London project teams and are looking for experienced Electricians who can also carry out qualifying supervisor duties on site. This is a permanent role with clear scope for progression and additional training.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations across commercial and healthcare projects
• Install containment, trunking, sockets, switches, lighting circuits and associated wiring in line with project drawings and specifications
• Perform and record testing and inspection activities; complete test schedules and handover documentation
• Act as Qualifying Supervisor on site: oversee technical compliance with BS 7671, review and verify test records, mentor and supervise electricians and apprentices, and liaise with site/project managers and clients
• Ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with the company’s health & safety procedures and site-specific rules
• Maintain tidy, organised work areas and take care of company tools and vehicle

Essential qualifications & experience

• Valid ECS card
• 18th Edition qualification (BS 7671)
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection certificate
• Proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix installations on commercial projects
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous experience acting as a Qualifying Supervisor on commercial or healthcare projects
• Experience working on hospital or large-scale commercial builds
• Experience mentoring junior staff or apprentices
