About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Bookkeep on an initial 6-month contract to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible role to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with our Finance Director and Accounting Manager to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is ideal for someone who likes to focus on the long-term impact of Finance Operations, with a strong work ethic, a love for numbers and a desire to grow and develop!

What you’ll be doing

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including processing invoices, expenses and bank reconciliations

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions

• Day-to-day operations around purchase ledger, payment management, vendor set up, subscription revenue and bank payments and reconciliations

• Help manage and track subscription-based revenue and recurring invoices

• Assist with payroll, pension and employee expense processing

• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely financial reporting and data accuracy

• Contribute to monthly close activities and support finance processes

• Support the Finance Director with system changes and administration

• Learn how Finance integrates with other departments (Sales, Customer Success etc.)

Skills We Need for This Role

• Strong Bookkeeping knowledge including an understanding of accounting principles, tax on transactions, and best practices for governance and fraud prevention

• Familiarity with accounting software and a willingness to learn new tools

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Ideally part qualified (AAT or similar qualification)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
