Class 2 Drivers

Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/Hayes/Greenford/West Drayton etc)

ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

£17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (incl. Holiday Pay)
Guaranteed 8 hours pay a day
Overtime after 9+ hours (breaks are not paid)

All-round Duties:

* A to B drops, Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops) Builders merchants and Scaffolding, Movies/TV, events and catering and Alcohol (optional)

* As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism

* Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner

* Secure load onto vehicle for transit (ratchet straps/strapping)

* Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues

* Conduct inspections of the vehicle prior to leaving depot, including checking tyres, brakes, lights, and other essential systems

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

* Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)

* Valid CPC and TACHO

* Age 25years+ for insurance purposes

* Minimum 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)

* Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting

* Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members

* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
