Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Goods In Operative to join a premium distribution operation. This role is centred on the accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of high-value goods, ensuring stock integrity and quality standards are consistently maintained. The position offers stable hours, competitive pay, and a strong benefits package.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
- Breaks: 1.5 hours total (1 hour unpaid, 30 minutes paid)
Pay & Overtime
- £14.84 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading incoming stock (including FLT operation)
- Checking deliveries against paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any damages
- Ensuring all goods are correctly labelled and barcoded
- Allocating and putting stock away into correct locations using a VNA (training provided)
- Supporting stock control and maintaining an organised goods-in area
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods-in role preferred
- FLT licence (Counterbalance)
- Willingness to be trained on VNA equipment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
