Non-Resident Fellow - Oncology (0.5 WTE / 22 Hours per Week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Resident Fellow (0.5 WTE, approximately 22 hours per week) to join our Oncology team at The London Clinic, located in Central London.
This role is based within our state-of-the-art Cancer Centre and offers a highly competitive salary, alongside additional funding and support for educational and training fees.
Flexible working is a core feature of this role, with working patterns typically including:
2-3 days per week (8am-5pm, with 1 hour for lunch), or
A job-share model (e.g. one week on, one week off)
There is also a requirement for pro-rata Saturday working (approximately 1 in 8, 9am-1pm) .

Job Profile:
As a Non-Resident Oncology Fellow, you will provide clinical and medical support to patients across:
The Oncology ward
Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit
Radiotherapy Unit
You will deliver high-quality general patient care and undertake a range of clinical procedures in collaboration with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Job Type: Part-time (0.5 WTE), 1 year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension
Hours:
Approximately 22 hours per week
Working patterns are flexible and agreed in advance, with options including:
2-3 full working days per week, or
a job-share / alternating week arrangement
Saturday working is approximately 1 in 8.
Additional flexibility may be available for candidates undertaking a higher degree (e.g. PhD).

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide clinical care for Oncology inpatients and outpatients
Conduct patient assessments and clinical evaluations (Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy) alongside Consultants and MDT colleagues
Support prescribing, including rewriting drug charts and preparing TTOs
Work closely with Consultants and nursing staff to support treatment and symptom management
Manage acute oncological conditions, including:
Neutropenic sepsis
Treatment-related toxicities
Other oncological emergencies
Participate in ward rounds, MDT meetings, and unit discussions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records for audit and reporting
Respond to urgent clinical issues in the absence of the admitting Consultant
Contribute to the Acute Oncology Steering Group
Skills & Experience:
Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice
MBBS (or equivalent)
ALS or ILS certification
Completion of Foundation Training (FY1/FY2) with relevant experience
Experience in acute medicine and/or HDU/ICU
Confidence managing deteriorating patients
You will also demonstrate:
Ability to assess and manage acute oncological presentations
Competence in routine clinical procedures
Ability to interpret investigations (bloods, gases, ECG, CXR)
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
A professional, motivated, and collaborative approach
