A Good Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Croydon (ages 11–18) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher (ECT) to join their thriving English Department from September.

The Role

As an English ECT, you will:

• Teach engaging and well-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Contribute to the continued success of a supportive and collaborative English Department.
• Participate fully in school life including enrichment activities such as reading clubs and creative writing initiatives.
• Receive high-quality mentoring and training through the school’s ECT induction programme.

Requirements

• Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and holds QTS.
• Has a strong passion for English and literature.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to teaching.
• Communicates effectively and develops positive relationships with students.
• Is eager to contribute to a supportive and collaborative department.
