Technical Manager (remote)
- Provide design and technical leadership across multiple residential and extra care schemes
- Manage pre-contract design development, ensuring alignment with organisational standards, financial objectives, and programme requirements
- Support the Land and Regeneration team at appraisal stage, contributing to viability reviews, cost planning, value engineering, and risk assessments
- Lead and coordinate consultant teams through early RIBA stages, ensuring design compliance with Planning, Building Regulations, and (where applicable) Higher-Risk Building requirements
- Contribute to and review Employer's Requirements and technical specifications to ensure quality, compliance, and stakeholder alignment
- Monitor consultant performance, driving accountability and ensuring outputs meet expectations
- Provide technical oversight during post-contract stages, working closely with delivery teams and undertaking regular site visits (typically weekly)
- Oversee risk management across design, cost, programme, and regulatory compliance
- Keep abreast of design innovation, sustainability initiatives, new products, construction methodologies, and legislative updates
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Development, Commercial, and Delivery teams to drive best practice and continuous improvement
- Support and mentor junior team members while maintaining robust technical governance
