We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team in a vibrant hospitality environment in central London. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary ingredients and equipment during service.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and ensure all items are stored properly after use.
• Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for the culinary arts and an interest in pursuing a career in hospitality are highly desirable.
