DATA ARCHITECT
We are recruiting for 3x Data Architects with Google Cloud experience. The Data Architects will join our collaborative and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key driver in our business and technology evolution, where your contributions to high-level design, value creation, efficiency gains, and innovative solutions will be highly valued. As Data Architect, you'll be empowered to design and implement our data strategy and roadmap, and build out our next-generation data platform. You'll thrive as the vital link between our stakeholders, external partners, and the project team, transforming business requirements into reusable data assets and products that seamlessly integrate with our broader technology and data strategy. Your work will be critical in modernising our existing systems and reducing technical complexities, allowing us to innovate faster and more effectively.
Key accountabilities
• Developing and Articulating Data Strategy: Defining the overall vision, principles, and roadmap for how data will be managed, structured, governed, and utilized across the organization to achieve business objectives alingned to the overall data and technology strategy.
• Defining Data Architecture Principles and Standards: Establishing clear guidelines, standards, and best practices for data modelling, data integration, data security, data quality, and metadata management.
• Creating and Maintaining Data Architecture roadmaps: Designing high-level conceptual, logical, and physical data models and architectures that align with business needs and technology capabilities.
• Providing Architectural Guidance and Leadership: Serving as the subject matter expert for data architecture, providing guidance and direction to development teams, data engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Staying Abreast of Emerging Technologies: Continuously learning and evaluating new data management technologies, trends, and methodologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Aligning Data Architecture with Business Strategy: Ensuring that the data architecture supports and enables the organization's strategic goals and initiatives
• Designing Data Models: Creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models that are scalable, performant, and meet business requirements aligned to our data product strategy
• Designing real time Data Integration and ETL/ELT Processes: Architecting solutions for moving, transforming, and integrating data from various sources into target systems.
• Designing Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures: Developing the blueprints for data warehouses, data marts, and BI platforms to support reporting and analytics
• Designing Data Products: Creating scalable and flexible architectures for storing and processing large and diverse datasets
• Establishing and Enforcing Data Standards: Ensuring adherence to established data architecture principles, standards, and best practices across all data-related projects.
• Defining and Implementing Data Governance Policies: Contributing to the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, including data quality, data ownership, and data lineage.
• Communicating Data Architecture Concepts: Clearly and effectively communicating complex data architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders: Working closely with business users, analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand their needs and translate them into architectural solutions.
Key Skills required:
- GCP Experience - Hands on experience on development experience with GCP
- Python and Java experience
- Experience building data reporting and analytics
