Group Reporting Manager (12 month fixed term contract)
What's the role about?
As part of our Finance team at Reiss, our Group Reporting Manager will take ownership of delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting across the Group. From monthly management accounts to half-year and year-end statutory reporting to our parent company, Next PLC, you'll ensure we meet all compliance and reporting standards with precision and clarity.This is a fantastic opportunity to shape our reporting function, manage key financial outputs, and contribute to the integrity and compliance of our financial operations. You'll work closely with senior finance leadership and play a critical part in external audits, technical accounting, and financial control.
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Who you are
- A qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a strong grasp of technical accounting and reporting standards.
- Experienced in Group reporting and consolidations in a multi-entity or international environment.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Confident working cross-functionally and communicating with auditors, senior leadership, and Group stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player, comfortable leading and developing others.
- Proactive and curious, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Audit background and/or Microsoft Business Central experience desirable.
What you'll be doing
- Own the preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and HY/YE statutory reporting to Next PLC.
- Deliver timely ad hoc reporting and analysis to meet Group requirements.
- Lead monthly IFRS 16 reporting and ensure updates to our IFRS 16 software (MRI) reflect accurate property data.
- Manage the agreement and reconciliation of group intercompany balances.
- Prepare and review technical accounting workings and complex accounting judgements.
- Partner with the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director on monthly management pack reviews.
- Lead balance sheet reconciliation processes and support ESG reporting (including plastic tax and EPR).
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and oversee the audit process and deliverables.
- Own Group consolidation and statutory account preparation, including a planned transition from FRS 102 to IFRS.
- Line manage and support the development of the Group Financial Accountant.
- Provide technical guidance to the wider finance team and business.
