Head of Partnership Development
The Head of Partnership Development sits at the intersection of revenue generation, influence, strategy and relationship stewardship - building and managing the new partner pipeline from prospecting through to conversion, driving partner-derived income and maintaining trust-based relationships with c-suite and working group stakeholders across partner organisations. It is a senior, commercially critical leadership position responsible for converting mission alignment into sustainable revenue.
You’ll be responsible for securing new and managing existing partnerships with travel businesses and wider travel and tourism ecosystem partners that align with Travalyst’s mission to create a more sustainable and inclusive global tourism industry. This role focuses on partner-derived commercial income through coalition membership and strategic corporate partnerships, and does not include responsibility for philanthropic fundraising or grant-based income, which are managed separately. You will be instrumental in bringing onboard new coalition partners to help fund our vital work, and in developing a broader partnership strategy to support Travalyst’s success. The ideal candidate will bring a proven pipeline development and conversion capability, strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a collaborative approach to partnership management and will have a deep understanding of sustainable travel and tourism, particularly within a business development context.
Contract Type:
Full-time, permanent - to start ASAP.
Application Deadline:
Please submit your application by no later than 5 January 2026.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Partnership Strategy and Business Development (~65%)
Lead Travalyst’s business development strategy, driving year-on-year partner base growth, renewals, and partner-derived income across the global tourism ecosystem, with clear KPIs for pipeline creation, conversion, and revenue generation.
Identify, qualify, and secure new high-value partners across corporate travel, travel-tech, tech, aviation, hospitality, and financial services, prioritising opportunities that strengthen the Coalition and expand Travalyst’s impact.
Own the full partnership lifecycle, including prospecting, stakeholder mapping, pitch development, proposal creation, commercial negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
Develop compelling value propositions tailored to different verticals and leverage market insights to expand Travalyst’s commercial reach and influence.
Lead the evolution of Travalyst’s partnership model, including tiering, pricing, and value proposition development, in line with organisational strategy and revenue goals.
Drive end-to-end deal execution, working closely with internal teams (Product, Policy, Marketing & Brand) to ensure proposed partnerships are commercially sound, strategically aligned, and operationally deliverable.
Build a forward-looking partnership pipeline, using data-driven prioritisation to focus efforts where Travalyst can drive the greatest mission and commercial impact.
Own partner revenue forecasting, renewal planning, and multi-year income sustainability in collaboration with Finance and the Executive team.
Track and report on the progress and impact of partnerships, preparing regular updates for senior management and stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of partnership deliverables.
2) Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management (~30%)
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the sustainable travel ecosystem, including corporate partners.
Manage ongoing communication and engagement with partners to ensure mutual benefit and sustained collaboration.
Develop excellent relationships at the Executive level with partners; understanding their priorities and key issues and ensuring these are aligned with broader Travalyst priorities.
Represent Travalyst at industry events, forums, and conferences to promote partnership opportunities.
Advocate for Travalyst’s mission, message and goals for example at events and on LinkedIn
3) Team Leadership (~5%)
Foster a collaborative, high performing and results-oriented team culture.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of partnership strategies with broader goals and priorities. In particular, you will work with the Head of Travalyst Policy Unit (TPU) & Advocacy to ensure that we understand the legislative environment and can use our policy work to leverage and support our Coalition Partners.
