The Opportunity
A well-established and growing insurance organisation is seeking a Senior Claims Professional to manage complex international property claims within the London Market. This is a high-responsibility role for someone with deep market knowledge, who can confidently liaise with both clients and insurers, drive favourable outcomes, and uphold regulatory compliance throughout the process.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Lloyd’s and company markets, ideally with prior broking experience. This position also offers the chance to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing claims environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a central point of contact for clients and insurers, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Manage complex, international property claims from notification through to resolution.
- Negotiate with underwriters and markets to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Prepare and present clear, detailed claims documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records across internal systems.
- Support internal projects and deliver management information to senior stakeholders.
- Maintain strong working relationships across markets and internal teams.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing property claims within the London Market.
- Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s and company market operations.
- Understanding of delegated authority contracts and claims regulations.
- Broking experience is a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
- Collaborative, professional, and client-oriented.
