A leading secondary school in Hounslow is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with students requiring additional support, while developing your own professional skills within a nurturing and well-structured school environment.
The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Full-time position | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Earn up to £600 per week (paid on a weekly basis).
- Support students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, communication challenges, and sensory processing difficulties.
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group support, guided by SEN professionals and school staff.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
- Promote students’ independence, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Work in partnership with educational psychologists, therapists, and SENCOs to meet each student’s specific needs.
Candidate Profile – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology , Education , Health & Social Care , or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in supporting young people with additional needs in a secondary school environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
- Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, care work, or SEN support (desirable but not essential).
