Mental Health Care Assistant
Our aim is to work and support our residents to become active and valuable members of the community in which they live and to develop a range of skills to enable them grow in confidence, build their self-esteem and grow their independence and integration into the local community in a secure positive and friendly environment.
Every day as a mental health support worker brings new challenges and tasks, from walking to the local coffee shop to residents’ trips and holidays you will gain a variety of experience’s whilst supporting our residents to live fulfilled and independent lives.
Roles includes:
* Offering enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
* Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
* Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
* Report on medical & welfare needs as required
* Safeguarding
* Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
* Sign language
You are
* Experienced working in mental health services
* Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
* An excellent communicator & a good team player
* Sensitive & intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
* Passionate about supporting service user independence
