From high profile events and functions to corporate meetings, you’ll ensure every customer experience is a positive one. Providing an efficient and high standard of hospitality service, you’ll set up, service and clear areas with meticulous attention to detail, understanding that discretion and politeness are essential.

You have the ability to listen carefully and take instructions, and communicate confidently while you work to an organised plan following procedures and displaying good practice at all times. And you’ll be sure to liaise with customers to ensure their needs have been met.

Ideally you will already hold Food Safety at Level 2 and Health & Safety at Level 2 certificates. No other formal qualifications are required, but you’ll be expected to read our company manuals to obtain a thorough understanding and knowledge of our products and services. Monday–Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

To provide general assistance to the Hospitality Manager in the London office to manage our suite of meeting rooms. Duties to include:

  • Provide refreshments for all meetings. This includes laying out meeting rooms in advance and clearing crockery away once meetings finish.
  • Loading/unloading dishwashers and washing up by hand if required.
  • Assist the Chef Manager with preparation of sandwich/buffet lunches, Board lunches and events. This will include laying out meeting rooms, serving at fine dining lunches and clearing once meetings finish.
  • Act as cover for the Chef Manager . This will include organising sandwich lunches only in the absence of the Hospitality Manager if required.
  • Ensure that all rubbish bins are emptied and all kitchen rubbish is disposed of or recycled correctly.
  • In conjunction with the Chef Manager, ensure the catering kitchen is meticulously cleaned at the end of each day. We operate to the highest hygiene standards – both personal and professional - without exception.
  • Ensure that all tea point areas are stocked with tea, coffee, sugar.
  • Assist the Chef Manager with stock-taking.

Qualifications and Previous Experience required:

  • Professional, discrete, personable, approachable and self confident.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, able to use own initiative & anticipate needs.
  • Ability to act as Waitress to serve at fine dining lunches as and when required (infrequent).
  • Computer literacy – particularly familiar using Outlook. Outlook is used to manage our meeting room bookings. Basic training will be provided.
  • Good communicator with the confidence to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Holds Basic Food Hygiene Certificate – essential.
