Welcome Week - Senior Ambassador
Duties and responsibilities
To manage Student Ambassadors, including registering Student Ambassadors, assigning s, ensuring Ambassadors are in the correct locations, and organising lunch breaks.
To report to the Student Communities Officer, keeping them updated on team progress and any issues.
To use initiative to identify and resolve potential problems, delegating tasks effectively to Ambassadors.
To oversee Ambassador work, offering guidance, feedback, and clear instructions where necessary.
To provide a high level of customer service to new students, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.
To answer questions and provide information and support to help new students settle into university life.
To lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and attitude, setting the standard for the Ambassador team.
Skills and experience
- Strong people management skills - confident in leading, guiding, and motivating fellow Student Ambassadors.
- Experience as a Student Ambassador and/or delivering campus tours (preferable).Good understanding of Student Ambassador responsibilities and expectations.
- Good knowledge of the University campus, key locations, and student services.
- Confident, clear communicator - comfortable engaging with individuals, groups and peers.
- Outgoing, approachable, and enthusiastic about welcoming new students.
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
- Assertive and proactive, with the ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
- Passionate about representing and supporting City St George’s University.
