About the Role

As a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, you will play a crucial role in delivering planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members. This is not your typical roadside rescue role; instead, you will work through a scheduled list of jobs, ensuring quality work without the unpredictability of emergency callouts.

Your day will begin with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and the member is expecting you. Your responsibilities will include:

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs typically completed in a workshop
• Providing member advice and recommendations based on inspections
• Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with our standards

With a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostics at your disposal, you will utilize your technical skills to ensure our members are back on the road safely and confidently.

What You’ll Need

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Working Conditions

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000
• 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays
