The BBC Flexi Job Apprentice Agency (FJAA) is offering an exciting opportunity to join South Shore Productions in central London as a Content Creator Apprentice working across the company’s digital and social content needs.
Through the BBC’s Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency, you will be hired by the BBC and be placed with South Shore Productions for the duration of your apprenticeship. The BBC will work with South Shore and Bauer Academy to oversee your successful completion on the apprenticeship.
WHY JOIN SOUTH SHORE PRODUCTIONS?South Shore Productions is an ambitious, unscripted production company working across everything from current affairs and investigations to entertainment, lifestyle and talent led programmes. With multiple productions running at once, no two days are the same. You’ll be close to conversations and creative decisions that might harder to access at larger indies.
You won’t be sitting quietly in a corner. You’ll be in kick off meetings, following filming schedules, shaping digital ideas, and helping ensure each production has strong, engaging, platform ready content.
This apprenticeship will give you the chance to work with experienced TV and digital producers who will support your development, help you build industry skills and give you real insight into how unscripted shows come together on screen and online.
WHY BECOME A CONTENT CREATOR APPRENTICE?The Content Creator apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills to create engaging, impactful content across multiple platforms. You’ll learn how to plan and develop creative ideas, research target audiences, and create audio, visual and written content suitable for various platforms.
It’s a hands‑on, immersive programme with practical workshops, interactive sessions, assignments and group projects. You’ll build planning and creative skills by developing and presenting pitches and proposals, and you’ll learn how to record and edit video and audio content. The scheme also covers the basics and best practices of imaging and photography, social media and search engine optimisation, as well as website creation.
Apprentices from this scheme typically progress into roles such as Digital Marketer, Marketing Executive, Content Producer and Social Media Manager.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACTAs a Content Creator apprentice, this is brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute - you will:
- Join production meetings to understand each project’s tone, creative approach and delivery needs.
- Track filming schedules across multiple productions.
- Spot opportunities for digital content, including short clips, behind‑the‑scenes moments, interviews and talent‑led extras.
