English Teacher – Drive Academic Rigour and Literary Scholarship in a High-Performing North West School – Manchester (Independent)
A leading independent senior school in Manchester is seeking an ambitious English Teacher committed to rigorous academic standards and advanced literary analysis from January 2026.

The role involves teaching English across KS3–KS5(A-Level/IB), focusing on advanced critical theory and high-level analytical concepts. You'll be expected to run academic extension clubs, mentor students through challenging coursework, and contribute to the school's rigorous academic ethos.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification) and a degree in English Literature (Masters desirable)
- Proven ability to teach and achieve top results at A-Level English
- Expertise in challenging literary criticism and source evaluation
- Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom environment
